Prayers and Healing

I rolled up next to this little black sign at a stoplight the other day. I kid you not, at first glance I thought it said “Prayers and Healing” not “Pavers and Sealing” 🤣🤣🤣!!!! Either I’ve been spending way too much time in the Word lately (which of course is not humanly possible) or it’s time to get my eyes checked again… I’m leaning toward the latter. 🤣

It’s a small but perfect example of how what goes into your heart and your mind is sure to come out. It’s like that old saying, “You are what you eat.” The Bible says we should hunger and thirst after righteousness! How can we expect to be Christ-like unless we fill our spiritual tanks with Christ teachings daily?

The truth is, we are more than just what we eat…we are also what we watch, what we listen to, who we hang out with, etc. Whatever we choose to habitually surround ourselves with eventually penetrates our hearts and shapes who we become. The good news is, for the most part, we get to choose what goes in and therefore what comes out. God’s Word, the Bible, can penetrate our hearts too, if we will only let it. ❤️

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (Philippians 4:8)

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (Proverbs 4:23)

Until next time…
